MY CHRISTMAS WISH & NEW YEARS RES...

This year Christmas I want something different. Since my days in college, circa "91" I've been home for Christmas 3 times. That's a long time! Every year my wish would be to see my family. A few times they would let us come home for a day but it would be before Christmas or a day after. Time would allow you to be home, enjoy your family then back to school. On the professional level you would have a game a day before, on or after. Or you may just have practice. So because of this my Christmas experience has not been the Santa Claus, Christmas shopping, partying experience. Out of all of this, I am grateful that it showed me the importance of the day, that the Love i have for my family was all that I would ask for. I'm here this year and very thankful to be!

MY GIRL IS AT IT AGAIN! OH YEAH, IT'S "B!'
For real, the hate has to stop. I'm hearing her album isn't good, I'm tired of her, she fat, her hair a mess, Jay could've done better. Then y'all would be mad at him if he had a white girl. B is that chic! This girl has transformed into an actress. We know she can sing and dance but every role she has played is better than the last. That's my girl! I can't wait for this movie to come out! Go B!

STUDY SHOW CHICS PREFER INTERNET OVER SEX
Now this doesn't shock me at all. My friends all ways find a reason to blast me about the time I spend on the Internet. I'm always blogging, on facebook or Twitter. Cool, that's a good assumption, but one thing I don't pass up for my my Internet habit is a skirt! (Skirt aka women) Now let's get into the hard facts and research on this subject.WOMEN PREFER their computers to blokes, according to a study conducted across the pond.
Apparently, women office workers spend almost three times as much time with their computers than their husbands or boyfriends.
It is not as if they mind, either. In fact, the Harris Interactive survey of 2,000 women said they prefer it.
Only one in five of the women said she wished she could spend more time with her partner than with her computer. We guess they were the ones using Vista.
Others said it was worth risking carpal tunnel syndrome and repetitive stress injuries just to be with their PC.... The Enquirer
An online survey commissioned by Intel has found, among other things, that 46% of women would rather go without sex for two weeks than give up the Internet for that long. The numbers get bigger for certain age groups; 49% of women aged 18-34 would make that choice, and 52% of women aged 35-44.
Not that males are immune from the siren call of the Web, but the numbers aren’t so dramatic. Some 30% of all men would swap sex for the Internet for two weeks, if they had to, with 39% of men aged 18-34 willing to make that sacrifice, according to the survey. Only 23% of men aged 35-44 said they would do so.
Intel, it should be noted, did not set out to prove a point about modern sexual behavior. And some people might try to poke holes at these findings; for one thing, respondents of online surveys are typically drawn from panels of people who sign up for them, which could make them imperfect proxies for all Internet users. (In this case, Harris Interactive conducted the survey for Intel, putting the questions to 2,119 adults last month).
The company’s goal, not surprisingly, was to show how essential the Internet has become to people–even during tough economic times. That’s important to Intel, since many people get online with computers that use Intel microprocessors.
And of course, the survey came up with other examples to make that case: For example, 95% of respondents said it is very important, important or somewhat important for people to have devices that allow them to access the Internet, and 84% said they saved money by comparing prices online and finding the best deals before making purchase decisions.
But those findings, let’s face it, are not quite so sexy.
-Don Clark... The Wall Street Journal
I believe every bit and piece of this study. Unless women are playing with there mates before they hit the sack or before brushing teeth, I can't seem to realize when they're gettin it in! From writing to reading blogs or just on Facebook alone, it seems as if you get immediate responses or constant uploads and updates from your female friends. I know the usage of the Blackberry and iPhone makes it easy with there Facebook interfaces, but still it's a;most every minute. Even on Twitter. Now Twitter is tough to keep up with if you don't have anyone to chat with, but if you do you know that Twitter is non stop all day long! I think it's a lot of freaky stuff going on with phones and computers still laying in the sack. Is foreplay now considered phoneplay? Sheesh... That's where all this damn female tension coming from. Put down the phones and laptops for a couple hours and go get you some! Then watch how your status messages and convo's get better!

JANUARY 12: Venting

As I stayed up all night, I wrote down some things in the note pad in my phone. I jotted down things to do today, Monday Party stuff, who I need to contact and inauguration week. My phone and email has been off the hook for the past month. I have been getting offers to "Help" promote parties, to have a night @ a few spots and I even got a proposition to send someone tables to there club and they'll give me a percentage. I mean out of all of them, the last one was the worse. 1st of all. I'm not a promoter, let's get that straight. I just like to party and I have not seen or been to a really good party here in awhile. Mark & Taz do what they do, but other than that I'm staying home. So an opportunity came by for me to do a party. I figured since I'm in the streets @ night why not. I took a tough route that people said wouldn't work by doing word of mouth and textin and emailing folks in my phone book. A lot of "Promoters" who thought I didn't know what I was doing, offered there help and advice. They saw opportunity and wanted in. I don't blame them. The problem was, I was going to do it my way. Not to prove anyone wrong, I just wanted what I wanted with no compromising. Soooo... I kept it moving and now have one of the hottest spots know one knows about. Just how I wanted it! My regulars show me love and support and in return I give them a place where they can kick back and enjoy themselves. I don't allow camera's from web sites for the privacy of my people. If they want pics, they can bring there own cameras and take them.
From my couple of months in the party game, it has now brought me to this. I will be having my "Grand Opening" for my new party January 17th (Inauguration Week) called "Room Service" location will be kept on the low because this will be the only exclusive party venue that weekend. I have an incredible line up for the week but won't unveil til that time because of the jackers and the snakes. I have out of town DJ's and a few from here. I'm doing lunches, brunches, dinners and late breakfast every night. A sexy party where the ladies can get pretty and wear those dresses they've been waiting on a reason to wear. If you think our party is sexy now...
That Monday we will still be @ the normal spot. That will still continue to be every Monday. After inauguration, "Room Service" will be every Friday! Oh yeah please be ready for the beginning of "A New Birth of Sexy!"

FLY LOUNGE: NO MORE FOR ME!

2 weeks ago I went to Fly Lounge after my Dinner Party and walked into what I would call, "Pathetic Mayhem!" It was too crowded, uncomfortable and smelled like a bathroom. I played the wall near the exit for the 20min. I was in there because it reminded me of my Go-Go days, where it was so crowded that if something popped off, your best bet is to go in the bathroom til it's done. So, while chilling there the whole night, I was bored and decided to call it a night. I round up the troops and was heading out. Before I walked out the door, I saw a nice young lady who I know and speak to who works there and gave her a good night hug before I left. While the hug was going on, I got a fore arm to the back then a push. Hold up! I know this dude didn't just do that. I turned around and this big dude looked me square in my face and said, get off of her, that's my girl. Wow! I was shocked and pissed. I told this dude, look 1st of all talk to your girl, you don't know me so don't say anything to me. Square that with her. She looked at me and said I know you're not serious, I asked her, is that your man? She said yeah. So that gave me more reason to make it clear to not ever touch me and ask your girl what's going on.
In Today's news, the dude got cut by the Skins. He got into it again the following week with somebody else! Farewell champ! Welcome to DC!

MY WEEKEND

Sitting in my kitchen 1:55 am on Monday morning, listening to "People Talking, The Library of a Legend" by Jay Z, I begin to reflect on a great weekend I had. Friday Night we took a ride up to NY to help my girl Sondi
celebrate her 21st Birthday. (again! I don't know how many of these 21st she had) We left DC @ 8:30 pm and got to the club @ 12am. The Bday party was @ Pop Burger,

I couldn't taste the popular burgers they serve since I don't eat meat,

but I enjoyed the bar. I bumped into lot's of old friends

and really had a great time.

After lot's of shots and helping Sondi enjoy her Bday,

everyone was ready to hit the next spot. We went to the next spot about 20 deep and turned every head in the club. Our crew rolled 7 dudes and 13 girls. Once inside, the walk through to our spot made the crew get bigger! Lol! We were joined by another mob of people who knew somebody that knew somebody in our crew. It was the best time i've had in a looooong time. Man how I miss New York. Soooooo for that matter. Road trip! We getting a party bus and once a month, party in New York. Details coming soon.

DIDDY'S BOND MINNIE MOVIE ALSO PROMOTES HIS NEW FRAGRANCE
This is the video/ commercial for "I Am King" only Diddy can pull it off! $750,000
G1 GOOGLE PHONE
I just had to get this phone! Although I have the 1st generation iPhone that's jailbroken and unlocked and is the best thing ever, I'm a gadget freak and could not let this pass me by. The G1 is also an open source phone like my unlocked iPhone. The one thing that I can say is that out of all the iPhone (suppose to be) killers (no such thing), the G1 has a place in the new age of gadgets. It runs smooth, it has all the Google features from Gmail to Gtalk, it also runs iPhone apps, that's right because it's an "open source" phone. (My Techies know what that means). It's simple, open source allows developers to create programs and apps for the phone and we the consumers can download them for free. It has the feel and control of a sidekick with iPhone power. It has the jump buttons im, facebook & Myspace apps, syncs over the air with your Google account. So anything you input in google calendar or contacts goes directly on your phone over the air. It's fly! But that iPhone will remain the flyest!

BLACK 007? COULD BE!
Word in Hollywood is that the next 007 might be named "Diddy Bond!" You heard it here 1st. My homies from my second home (South France) Just let me know of a situation where Diddy spent $750,000 of his own cash to shoot an audition tape to be the next James Bond. Word is that times has changed and the world is evolving so we need the next Bond to be black. I tell ya, that Obama is really making a change! James Bond series of 007 films are my favorite but never in my life have I thought of a Black James Bond. When we were young, there was always talk of a Black President. Maybe we thought that it woul never happen but I bet you can't remember one time somebody said "I wish James Bond was Black! Hail 2 da knawl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get you man Didd. I can see the Ciroc adds now. Dun, dun dun, dun dun, dun dun...... Diddy hoppin out the copter with Beyonce and Keri Hilson a servant awaits them with a tray... On that tray a bottle of Ciroc, the lighting just right, hit's the ice and gives it a sparkle. As soon as Diddy reaches to accept his glass, his watch glistens and then... The bottle of Ciroc is gone! It was snatched by a guy on a moped. The chase begins...... LMFAO! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Real talk, Diddy really spent $750,000 to do his audition tape for the next Bond. We'll have to just wait and see! (St. Tropez trip, July 4th)
Robert Has a major Problem! "Under Fire Interview!"
If you haven't seen this, I'm showing it again! This is an deisgrace before God. Listen at this grown a$$ man!

I will never forget when this mixtape came out. I remember where I was and what I was doing. I also got something that will always help me remember it... the mixtape is on my iPhone! If you don't have it, get it! It's a classic!

OVER BEFORE IT BEGUN?
First off let me add that this is strictly from my perspective. If you agree, cool, if not so what! Leave a comment and we can discuss it. You have the right to speak back, sheesh... After all, Obama is the President elect! Lol. Anyway... at the time that i wrote this, the Washington Wizards were 1-10 (just lost to the New York Knicks tonight) and to me is no surprise! Let me add that I am not a basketball fan but still a student of the game. I'm not trying to get in the league at this point but had my attempts at it in my day. I am cool with my situation and have enough experience in the game to say what i am about too. Now, let's start with the players. From top to bottom to name a few, here is my ranking of skill and game on this team, Gilbert, Caron, Jamison, Mcgee and after that take your pick. At the top Gil! We know his situation and hey, I'm glad that he got his money because these owners and franchises have no loyalty to anyone. Gilbert played the game and at the end of the day he won! He was a very good player before the injury and he is man enough to not let them rush him back. He understands that time heals and a speedy return will only keep him from continuing his career at the top of his game. Let's say that Gilbert has returned and that he's healthy, the Wizards ,may not be 1-10 but I don't think that they would be a top of they're division either. Two reasons, Ego and no winning experience. Gilbert and Caron are very good players and had great college careers, neither has experienced playing on a winning NBA franchise. That's this teams missing ingredient. Caron has the best skill package on the team, but without Gil, he has no one to compliment him. Jamison would be great coming off the bench in Cleavland or or playing for New Jersey. McGee has a great upside! When he learns the game and learns to channel his energy and develop a comfort zone, this kid is going to be good. Anyone I left out needs not to be talked about. The Wizards are doing them a favor. This year we are seeing a team that has no chemistry and can't figure the game out. It's because of lack of leadership and it starts at the top. The GM and player personnel for the Wizards has to be the worse. I wanna know the thought process when they signed these players. I guess winning wasn't in mind. I am no one to prove wrong, but prove the city wrong. These guys play hard every night but in the NBA, everyone plays hard and it's a game of chess. You can't play chess with all Pawns, and you can't play basketball in the NBA with no leader. Thursday, November 20, 2008

R&B Live @ Posh
Last night I attended "R&B Live" @ Posh. It's a monthly showcase of artist that is hosted by Carla Truitt. Carla is a good friend of mine who is also an artist managing and development partner with DC's own Chucky Thompson. Me Carla go way back like Skidz and AJ's! (youngstas don't think too hard.) The showcase was good and had a very nice and grown crowd. The admittance is guestlist only with no cover charge and you can make dinner reservations or loiter around the bar. This months performances were by Leigh Jones and Case. Leigh is and R&B Sultress who has a bright future ahead of her and is a very cute lady. She has a southern appeal to her and blended in the crowd when she wasn't singing as if she was a spectator but stood out with that shining star quality. Case, well everybody knows how Case gets down! Lol! The dude was fried! For all who don't know what fried is, let me explain it like this; If you could cook with Patron, your brain would be the eggs! (Get it!) Cooked got daggit! The fool in this nice environment, cursed like a sailor and threw the mic stand off the stage. It was a good performance although. He brought two ladies out of the crowd who sang background for his hit "Happily Ever After." The crowd sang along too which made it the highlight of the night. Shot out to my girl Carla for doing her thing and bringing industry to DC.Leigh Jones

I'M SORRY, IF I AFFEND NON SASHA FANS BUT...
I wonder if B would let my alter L-Train Marry Sasha! Hmmm... I could just imagine.... when I 1st met B at 40/40 NY years ago while playing on the Roc Basketball team @ Rucker park. Jay would put my table next to theirs. B would be so nice to my lady friends with greets of hugs and kisses and gestures like "guuuurl" and other friendly things as if she and my friends new each other forever. Then those times when we were at the game and she would sit on our bench and I would come out the game exhausted from the heat and she would softly say to someone, "get him some water!" Just made my day and would make me bust some a$$ (Pause) on the court! Lol, Then last summer during her tour when i was invited to the show and after party at the 40/40 Atlantic City they sat me on the balcony next to there section and when they entered the over crowded venue Jay gave me the fist to the chest and B gave me the salute, that was all the Love in the world! 1st the line to get in was ridiculous, but as soon as I got out the car the manager greeted me and walked us right to our section. It was sick! Anyway back to B. It's evident that B thinks I'm a cool dude, so why wouldn't she hook Sasha up with L-Train? I think that would be a great match. Look... (Things in common)

American Gangster: Cornell Jones
CORNELL JONES
Rap Sheet
Reign: 1980s
Business: drugs
Region: Washington, D.C.
Claim to Fame: ran open air drug market near the Capitol
Downfall: set up by the Feds
Sentence: served 12 years
Status: works with community organizations
Lesson: You catch more flies with honey.
Case File
Rayful Edmond’s predecessor as D.C.’s drug kingpin was a native son who quietly plied his trade in the shadow of the Capitol, and ultimately developed a network that funneled drugs throughout major cities of the Eastern seaboard and even throughout Europe. He also gets “credit” for the accidental invention of a hallucinative mix of pot and PCP that was loosely known on the streets of D.C. as “butt naked,” helping to turn D.C. into a mecca for “angel dust.”
For years, Jones stayed under the radar of law enforcement by developing a business model that emphasized harmony over violence, while keeping a low personal profile and funneling much of his profits into legitimate businesses. He did it so well that his arrest and incarceration in 1985 created a huge vacuum in the D.C., drug trade, leading to unprecedented murder rates. Since Jones’ release, he’s run a non-profit organization to help inmates prepare for life after prison.

Birthday Blog II
First off, i have to thank all the people who made my Birthday events one to remember! I have to thank my family, Loved ones, friends and my party team who held me down for four long nights of partying til the lights came on. The Grand Finale last night was definitely a grown and sexy party @ Skye Lounge (every Monday/ Plug!). Beautiful people came out and made the event one to remember. I have a few moments that were the highlight of the weekend. Friday night Mike Walker doing a great job of getting us started and almost keeping us from making it to the party. Lol! Saturday, shuttin down Layla with our party team! All eyes on us. Monday was the biggest highlight, with the birthday toast and a few tricks from my peeps. I was brought a bottle of Rose' with two glasses for me and my Barby Doll Bride! lol! They said that's the closest thing to me having a wife, ha! So that was my marriage. I posted on facebook that I was getting married, so there you have it. But the thing that I will remember the most is a card that I received from a good friend. I have to share this because it was very touching and made me feel good inside. It read like this...
